Customer Service Technician

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Technician to join our team. The primary purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality maintenance and repair work in our homes across our operational regions, including Lichfield, Nottingham, and Derby. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, contributing to the achievement and maintenance of our 5* HBF rating.

Supporting our customer care and site teams, you will carry out essential works to complete our homes to a high, customer-ready standard, managing your time between site-based work and customer care remedials. Due to the geographical spread of our sites, regular regional travel and a flexible approach are essential.

What will the role involve?

Remedials

  • Undertake scheduled multi-trade remedial and repair works, including carpentry, plastering, and decorating as directed by the customer care team
     
  • Support site teams with unoccupied plots by assisting with pre-completion snagging reports, ensuring each plot is fully customer ready for new homeowners
     
  • Inspect reported defects as required and produce detailed reports with supporting photographs
     

Customer Service

  • Demonstrate a calm and professional approach when managing challenging customers and situations
     
  • Communicate clearly and effectively to ensure full understanding and positive customer engagement
     
  • Resolve defects promptly and to a high standard, ensuring all completed works are signed off by the customer
     

Health and Safety

  • Ensure that Health and Safety is followed and adhered to whilst on Site and working within Customers homes
     

Experience and Technical Requirements

  • Experience of working in occupied homes and the new build housing industry
     
  • Ability to deal with customers in a friendly and professional manner and exhibit high service standards to ensure customer expectations are met
     
  • Strong knowledge and experience within the construction Industry with the ability to problem-solve with defects. Preferrable from a background in the trades e.g. Painting, Decorating, Carpentry and Joinery etc
     
  • The ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
     
  • Knowledge of health and safety practises
     
  • A full, clean UK driving licence
