We have an exciting new opportunity for a Field Sales Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of field-based sales advisors across multiple new build developments. The Field Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales performance, achieving KPIs, and ensuring an exceptional customer journey from enquiry to completion. This role is pivotal in delivering our growth targets and upholding its reputation for quality and service.
What will the role involve?
Team Leadership and development:
- Coach and mentor sales advisors to achieve individual and team targets
- Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews and on-site training
- Foster a culture of accountability, motivation and continuous improvement.
Sales performance and KPI management:
- Drive sales across all developments to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual targets
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs); included but not limited to conversation rates, reservations, exchanges and completions
- Implement strategies to maximise revenue and optimise plot releases.
Customer experience:
- Ensure the delivery of a 5-star customer journey in line with NHBC and company standards
- Resolve escalated customer issues promptly and professionally
- Champion customer feedback and use insights to improve service delivery
- Operational excellence
- Collaborate with marketing, construction, and customer care teams to ensure seamless site operations
- Maintain accurate sales reporting and CRM data
- Ensure compliance with all legal, financial, and company policies.
Market awareness:
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and local market trends
- Provide insights and recommendations to inform pricing and product strategy.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Sales targets (reservations, exchanges, completions)
- Conversion rates (lead to reservation)
- Customer satisfaction scores (e.g. NHBC surveys)
- Team performance and retention
- Site presentation and compliance audits.
What we expect from you
Skills and experience required:
- Proven experience in a similar sales leadership role within the housebuilding or property sector
- Strong understanding of the new build sales process and customer journey
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and motivational skills
- Commercially astute with a results-driven mindset
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across developments.
