The Mare and Colt is housed in a Victorian building set on the edge of the busy A449 thoroughfare. Though once part of the small stand-alone village of Summerfield the area where the pub stands has now been absorbed by the growing town of Kidderminster. The pub itself has been in existence since Victorian times. Long before the word ‘mini-chain’ existed, this pub was part of one. Back in the mid-19th century the Mare and Colt along with three other pubs in the area was owned by a local family.

Risley Lower Grammar CE (VC) Primary School is a Primary, Co-Ed, Church of England school located in Derbyshire, East Midlands. Since opening in 1926, Wollaton Hall has been home to Nottingham’s Natural History Museum. With a collection of 750,000 objects, ranging from fossils, minerals, plants and eggs to invertebrates, vertebrates, shells (molluscs) and taxidermy, as well as preserved ‘spirit’ animals and rare specimens from across the globe, Wollaton is the largest dedicated Natural History museum in the county.
